OPERATIONAL CONTROLLER
Salary Range: $80,000 to 95,000 per year (DOE and state)

POSITION SUMMARY: Oversee procurement of supplies, materials, and services required for all of our outlets. This role involves managing the entire purchasing process, from sourcing and negotiating with suppliers. In addition to purchasing, this role oversees the transportation department. The Purchaser is responsible for directing, controlling, summarizing, and interpreting all relevant financial information of the company as it pertains to cost management. Ensuring cost management is heavily controlled will prevent financial overruns, avoid risk, and aid in future planning and growth. This role is the primary liaison between vendors and those placing orders, determining if the appropriate business solution was implemented. You will be responsible for proper costing reviews for all properties as well as being proactive in seeking opportunities to meet the needs of the business without sacrificing quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned):
Purchasing
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with vendors to secure the best prices, quality, and delivery options.
- Investigate all variances in prices as a direct liaison to vendors.
- Create a culture and sharable system(s) to properly monitor, track, and audit negotiated prices and/or discounts on a daily basis to maintain price integrity across all aspects of the Group.
- Create and establish well-documented procedures for internal processes, from product requisitions to receiving and submitting invoices for approval.
- Compare budgets with actual expenses.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the Company's goals and project timelines.
- Put into place systems and then conduct audits on financial processes such as menu costing and overhead.
- Monitor and manage procurements, ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Collect and analyze information to determine the costs of products and services.
- Ensure all procured materials meet the required quality standards and specifications, coordinating with the quality control team(s) as needed.
- Confirm with vendor(s) in writing with agreed-upon pricing first of every month.
- Work closely with Head Chefs to adjust menu prices as needed to reflect changes in product costs.
- Place kitchenware CGS orders as needed
- Establish approval system for capital expenditures ($1K)
Transportation
- Oversee and manage the transportation department
- Schedule and time management of drivers
- Plans, directs, and monitors preventive maintenance and repair programs for all Company vehicles.
- Cost analysis of route fuel costs, including delivery fees and insurance, to understand the daily cost.
- Oversee and manage wage costs/payroll.
- Work with the Wholesale Account Manager to ensure clients' needs are met and provide guidance on new business development.
Other - Tech/Overhead
- Setting up contracts/ systems with Tech companies such as Toast, Opus, Spotify, Open Table, and MEWS for better yearly pricing and merchant fees.

- 2-3 years of previous experience in hospitality/transportation
