Astrion has an exciting opportunity has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Operational C2 Fielderwithin our AFLCMC/HBG group. The C2ISR Division is responsible for a diverse portfolio that provides "cradle-to grave" support for the U-2 aircraft, E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) aircraft, Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS), the Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS) system and other C2ISR programs as they transition to sustainment. The C2ISR Division provides worldwide life cycle support across the spectrum of the C2ISR capabilities based enterprise; including supply, distribution, materiel management, acquisition, system engineering and maintenance, financial planning and budgeting, security, flight test, and contracting functions. The Global Network Systems (GNS) Branch (AFLCMC/ HBGW), located at Hanscom AFB, MA, is one of the numerous branches within the C2ISR Division and reports directly to the C2ISR/HBG Senior Materiel Leader. EPASS support is required to execute the major GNS programs in support of the C2ISR Division, to include: AF DCGS Network Infrastructure Transformation (NIT), Extended Tether Program (ETP), and Global Command and Control System – Air Force Infrastructure (GCCS-AF (I)).
As the Operational C2 Fielder, you will provide support to assist with fielder and system administrator support including providing training to system administrators for Air C2 applications.
JOB DETAILS
LOCATION: Hanscom AFB
JOB STATUS: Full Time
TRAVEL:25-30% travel (CONUS and OCONUS)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- All applicants must be U.S. Citizen and have an active US security clearance
- 25 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 15 years of which must be in the DoD OR, Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and at least 20 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 12 years of which must be in the DoD.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic team environment meeting end users’ requirement.
- Must be detail-oriented and have excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Possess the ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms on highly technical topics
- Must have experience with Red Hat Linux operating system
- SME level system administrator knowledge

- Knowledgeable of Air C2 applications
- Field/build Air C2 application systems
- Air C2 Apps (Theater Battle Management Core Systems Force Level, Air and Space Operations Center, C2AOS-C2IS, GCCS-Air Force, and UC2)
