Startech Networks, Inc. is seeking an experienced Open RAN Lab Test Engineer with US Work Authorization to join our growing team in in Dallas, Texas.
Salary: $5,000 to $6,000 Per Month
Responsibilities:
Open RAN Test Engineer will support the Engineering team and perform the role of Test and Validation for the RAN network in the following areas:
Detailed understanding of 3GPP specifications as related to 5G Core Network Functions, as well as CU and DU and RU. Exposure & knowledge of O-RAN specs, Open RAN projects, Cloud-RAN, etc.
Analysis, definition and execution of the RAN and O-RAN test plans to meet the customer requirements, ensuring the solution implementation will meet the quality, robustness requirements.
Candidates must collect and analyze UE logs via QXDM or XCAL and perform post processing using QCAT or XCAP.
Very strong problem solving and debugging skills. Ability to correlate data from multiple logs/components in order to identify the failing component.
Proficient in debugging end to end TCPIP performance issues over wireless connections.
A lab test engineer team validates solution design in lab, collaborates with testers from various vendors, uses assigned lab auto-testing software.
Excellent knowledge of 5G NR/LTE 3GPP standards, from physical layer through the protocol stack and core network in an O-RAN design.
Able to perform event analysis and address accessibility, retainability and HO success rate issues Design.
Provide remote and/or on-site support to vendor Test Teams on site and/or in customers lab and provide training to team members on new features/test equipment as needed.
