Accordingly, the OIS is expected to have a high level of clinical expertise to be able to speak and engage on a broad range of topics of interest to the HCP/account and important to Pfizer, e.g., treatment guidelines, unbranded disease state awareness, real world evidence and health outcomes, healthcare disparities, market environment and trends, distribution, insurance coverage, patient assistance.This colleague will need to coordinate with the local Oncology/Hematology Account Specialists in the underlying geographies, in addition to coordinating with the local cross-functional team (Key Account Manager, Field Medical Director, Field Reimbursement Manager and Opinion Leader Liaisons) that too support the accounts where the (OIS) will play a critical role in interacting with academic center customers by linking an insightful assessment of the account and/or business landscape with a strong understanding of how this may impact community HCPs and Pfizer's products and resources overall.The OIS will be responsible for launching new products, deciding upon best strategies to manage business relationships, understanding formulary access, and engaging in product promotion within assigned accounts
In addition, the OIS is charged with sales efforts and relationship development with assigned customers and accounts, including therapeutic area specialists and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) who have significant influence within and beyond their institutions
The OISs that call on these KOLs are tasked with using approved information and resources to educate and thereby influence treatment protocols and decisions
This scope of impact broadens and heightens the role of the OIS differently vs other representatives in the area
Because these centers of influence are highly concentrated and exclusive, each TA will have between 11-13 OISs per TA
He/she will gather insights from these customers that will help inform commercial strategies/tactics that are aligned and support their brand portfolio
