Job Summary:
The On-Site PM Support Field Service Technician is responsible for providing product support and technical know-how to customers at assigned customer sites. Professionalism and customer support are critical to the success of HIS Innovations Group. As an On-site PM Support Field Service Technician, you will perform preventative and corrective maintenance for third parties on a variety of sub-fab equipment. More specifically you will:
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform basic preventive maintenance activities in accordance with approved customer & HIS procedures.
- React to equipment warnings and alarms to perform basic troubleshooting & corrective maintenance.
- Perform visual inspections and quality checks of sub-fab equipment as requested by customer & HIS engineering staff.
- Complete all required reporting and documentation using customer site maintenance software systems.
- Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements to perform assigned tasks.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement processes, learning and skills development as outlined by HIS & customer site leadership.
- Perform helium vacuum leak tests and troubleshoot/repair leaks on sub-fab equipment in accordance with both HIS and customer procedures/work instructions.
- Collaborate with other HIS team members, customer leadership and HIS Field Service Manager to establish daily priorities and ensure customer contract needs are continuously fulfilled.
Skills Integral to the Job:
- Demonstrated ability to understand detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to use various hand tools and some power tools and work safely while in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to follow written instructions accurately and consistently.
- Ability to work well within a team environment and ability to effectively communicate with both HIS team members and customer engineers, technicians.
- Proven self-starter with a strong work ethic, commitment to quality & safety.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English language.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma, associate’s degree in a technical field or relevant military experience preferred
- 4 years of relevant experience (automotive repair/maintenance, BOCES, HVAC, aviation, cable installation, computer routing, telecommunications, electrical work, etc.)?
Physical Requirements:
- Able to work in a standing position for extended periods during a 12-hour shift.?
- Able to lift equipment and tools up to 50 pounds when performing maintenance activities.
- Must be able to work assigned shift (including 3-4 days alternating weeks during day or night shift)?
- Able to work with site/task required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) which may include continued use of a respirator, fire suit, etc.
- Minimal travel may be required for training or off-site support as directed by HIS leadership.
Shift Pattern:
Candidates will have the opportunity to consider multiple shift options. Though shift schedules are subject to change, the current schedule is:
- A (days) Week 1: Sunday to Wednesday?6:00AM to 6:30PM, Week?2: Sunday to Tuesday 6:00AM to 6:30PM
- B (nights) Week 1: Sunday to Tuesday 06:00PM to 06:30AM, Week 2: Saturday to Tuesday + 6:00PM to 6:30AM
- C (days) Week1: Thursday to Saturday 06:00AM to 06:30PM, Week 2: Wednesday to Saturday 06:00AM to 06:30PM
- D (nights) Week 1: Wednesday to Saturday 06:00PM to 06:30AM, Week 2: Wednesday to Friday 06:00PM to 06:30AM
- E (days) 4 days/week Monday to Thursday 07:00AM to 5:30PM
