Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking dedicated and empathetic Independently Licensed Behavioral Health On-Demand Counselors to join our team.
In this flexible, as-needed role , you will provide critical behavioral health support for federal operations in San Diego , CA.
T his is an onsite position and is open to U.S.
Citizens ONLY.
In this role, you will be part of a specialized team called upon to address surges or backfill needs for ongoing operations.
You will conduct initial assessments and mental health evaluations for unaccompanied minors, ensuring their well-being and providing critical support during periods of high demand.
This position involves supporting unaccompanied minors and working with diverse clients in a fast-paced environment.
You will observe the physical environment, individual interactions, and verbal and nonverbal cues to assess child well-being concerns and ensure appropriate staff-child interactions.
Additionally, you will help identify opportunities for progress, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and create strategies to improve clients' lives.
To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a deep understanding of these minors' unique challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide behavioral health support to unaccompanied minors as needed during surges or backfill operations
• Conduct focused assessments for individuals, including behavioral status exams, to screen for symptoms related to trauma or crisis intervention needs
• Proactively engage with children to ensure their well-being and identify risks or distress.
• Apply knowledge of best practices to address client needs effectively
• Provide crisis counseling and immediate interventions when necessary
• Collaborate with facility staff to ensure culturally sensitive care and share insights on successful approaches
• Educate clients about their problems and help them develop healthier coping methods.
• Maintain detailed notes and shift reports
• Other duties as assigned in support of the program REQUIREMENTS:
• Master's degree or higher in Behavioral Health Professions (e.g., MS/MSW/MA)
• Independent licensure in California (e.g., LCSW , LMFT , LMHC , LPC )
• Completing all required background checks, drug screens, and child abuse and neglect checks
• Excellent interpersonal skills and adherence to professional standards of confidentiality
• Working knowledge of state, federal, and local laws and available resources
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Bilingual (Spanish) is highly preferred Compensation: This is a 1099 contractor role.
Hourly rates will be competitive and commensurate with experience
• We also have full-time salary and contractor positions available.
