|Working Title||On-Call Pharmacist|
Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) is a comprehensive health service available to all currently enrolled UNM students. SHAC is located North of Johnson Center and across from the Student Union Building. It is open Monday through Friday and is closed on all UNM holidays. Services include medical appointments (scheduled and same day), pharmacy, women's and men's health, allergy and immunization, medical specialty clinics, physical therapy, lab and x-ray, travel health clinic and counseling services, as well as health education, prevention, and promotion.
We are seeking a PRN Pharmacist for occasional shift fill-in for the regular staff pharmacists during times of illness, emergency, or vacation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Daily oversight of dispensing functions; patient counseling; patient safety; OTC recommendations; Immunizations; communicating with prescribers; willing to participate in all aspects of the pharmacy is a must. The ideal candidate can balance multiple priorities to provide the best outcome for the patient and help maintain the business profitability.
|Conditions of Employment|
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D.; at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.Certification/LicensureState of New Mexico Licensed Pharmacist.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
At least 5 to 7 years as a Pharmacist in a Retail/Clinical Pharmacy.
At least 5 to 7 years of experience dealing with third party insurance/billing.
Experience with QS1 Pharmacy software or similar.
Customer service oriented and interested in serving student population.
Experience advising medical practitioners on various aspects of prescribing.
Experience with Pharmacy regulations, policies, procedures and compliance.
Willing to be flexible and assist Pharmacy Manager
