Interim Healthcare of West Michigan is a locally owned and operated leader in post-acute care services in West Michigan.
We are now hiring for the position of Homecare On-Call Coordinator within our Homecare division.
In this role, you will be working with our Grand Rapids non-medical homecare office staff in this full-time and fully remote position. The position would be working nights and weekends. We are open to either every weekend or every other weekend availability!
On-Call Coordinator Responsibilities
- This position is simply answering incoming phone calls after our office has closed in the evenings and on weekends
- This means that you’re required to be available to answer the on call cell phone, from 4pm-7:30am on weekdays, and the whole day on weekends
- As a Home Care On-Call Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations during non-business hours and providing prompt assistance to our clients and caregivers
- Maintain a flexible schedule, as the volume of calls may vary from day to day (Some days may have no or few calls, while others may be busier!)
- Log all incoming calls and handle emergencies appropriately, including caregiver call-offs, caregiver delays, caregiver requests for directions, new client inquiries, changes in client conditions, and client or caregiver complaints
- Ensure all calls are logged accurately and promptly on the daily log, and be able to send the daily log to the in office staff every morning via Microsoft Teams (login provided)
- Monitor the incoming texts and respond/log accordingly
- Available to attend in office training within the first few weeks of employment - flexible based on previous experience and availability
On-Call Coordinator Requirements
- 1 year of previous healthcare administration experience (preferred)
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Business, HR, or related field (preferred)
- Ability to work from home (adequate internet connection)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and accuracy in logging and documentation
- Ability to work well under pressure and make decisions quickly
- Professionalism and the ability to provide exceptional customer service
