On Call Banquet Server - Hilton Short Pump

Hilton Short Pump is seeking hospitality-minded people to work as Servers in our Banquet Department.

This is an ON CALL position, without a regular schedule. Shifts will vary and might include evenings and weekends. It’s ideal for students or others who have flexible schedules and want to pick up extra work. Starting pay is $14.50 per hour or higher depending on experience.

Our Banquet Servers help our guests have incredibly memorable and enjoyable experiences. Their main purpose is to have an enthusiastic attitude while ensuring our guests receive the highest quality service and maintaining the appropriate ambiance at our events. The position requires the capability to effectively communicate with guests and team members and the flexibility to work various schedules. 

Job Description:

• Set up side station and perform side work as assigned
• Set up banquet room per client and management expectations
• Provide excellent service and attention to all guests
• Serve beverages and meals according to standards
• Remove soiled plates and glassware
• Clear tables
• Perform other clean up or related duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Devotion to providing excellent guest service.
• Positive attitude and teamwork skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow verbal directions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds and stand on your feet for an entire shift.
• Must agree to have a pre-employment background check completed.
