About the Job
The Office Supply Chain Lead oversees, plans, and directs all aspects of inventory/logistics policies, objectives, and initiatives for the company.
Supervisory Responsibilities:- Trains new inventory staff
- Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
- Handles discipline and performance improvement of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develops standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency.
- Leads inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations.
- Develops and implements inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and priority initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory management practices.
- Reviews purchase orders and contracts for compliance with company and departmental policies.
- Collaborates with sales, customer service, and logistics departments to maximize efficiency in the purchasing and inventory control department.
- Communicates with suppliers to resolve problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures related to purchasing and inventory control with a goal to maximize efficiency and optimize workflow.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as inventory software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with coursework in purchasing and/or inventory control management, required.
- 3+ years of managerial experience, required.
- 3+ years of inventory experience and solid knowledge of overall departmental function, required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- May be asked to travel to visit vendors or different company locations.
