About the Job
BBSI is currently recruiting a temporary Office Specialist for Tillamook County. This position is responsible for a variety of administrative and customer service tasks across many departments. Examples of typical duties to be performed daily include:
- Act as the first point of contact for public, both over the phone and in person.
- Process payments and enter into system. Process invoices for payment.
- Assist public in completing applications for Public Works department.
- Research, compile, and prepare various reports, charts, and correspondences.
- Receive and distribute mail, reports, requests, and/or files, and distribute to appropriate personnel.
This position represents an important part of the community, and we’re seeking individuals with experience and skills such as:
- At least two years’ of progressively responsible office or clerical experience OR two years of education beyond high school.
- Experience in accounting, specifically Accounts Payable.
- Extensive knowledge of rules, procedures, and operations of business practices.
- Ability to perform complex, interrelated, or one-of-a-kind clerical processing procedures.
- Skills in use of various software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases, as well as in the operation of office equipment such as copiers, printers, scanners, and shredders.
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Ability to use general guidelines to make independent decisions, and to effectively prioritize tasks to complete assigned work while supporting other positions.
- Exceptional customer services skills.
This is a 90 day temporary position with the opportunity for additional work assignments after that.
