Office, Social Media & Marketing Intern - Summer 2025 - Midwest Pool Management

The Office, Social Media, and Marketing Intern is a paid position, responsible for assisting with the development of, and executing Midwest Pool Management's social media strategy, while working across key social media channels including multiple websites, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. This role will be instrumental in increasing the social media presence for current and future staff members, increasing customer awareness, driving attendance and creating excitement about our water parks, special events, swimming lessons and lifeguard job opportunities.

Essential Functions:

Assist with streamlining company social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms), ensuring uniform content and tone of voice for landing pages, graphics, and other elements. Increase the number of followers we have on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram by following and engaging with potential candidates. Under supervision, the candidate will monitor and reply to internal and external posts, create content and events for daily posting on multiple platforms and review and update previously posted content. The ideal candidate will also utilize scheduling tools such as Hootsuite, Facebook Events or others

Qualifications:

• Outgoing and energetic personality with proven written and verbal communication skills
• Coursework in marketing, communications, social media or reputation management
• Coursework or familiarity in photography and video for posting to social media
• Familiarity with key social media tools (e.g. Twitter and Facebook) and with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Excellent attention to detail and a high motivation to learn
• An ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with quick turnaround times
• Be self-motivated and creative, plus the ability to work collaboratively with a team
• RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
• You must be 18 years old
• A working and reliable cell phone with a camera and photo receiving/sending capabilities
• Ability to follow GPS maps
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Available May-September, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
