Job Description:
One of our retail grocery clients is seeking 5 Temporary Office Movers to join their team in Itasca, IL. This temporary position will involve assisting with the relocation of office equipment and setting up laptops and workstations for our staff in the new office space.
Responsibilities:
Office Relocation: Assist in the physical relocation of office equipment, furniture, and supplies to designated areas within the office space.
Workstation Setup: Set up and configure laptops and workstations according to company standards and user requirements.
Equipment Handling: Safely handle and transport delicate office equipment, ensuring that all items are securely packed and moved without damage.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of all relocated equipment and supplies, including serial numbers and locations.
Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and department heads to ensure a smooth transition during the relocation process.
Troubleshooting: Provide basic troubleshooting support for any technical issues related to workstation setup or equipment configuration.
Adherence to Safety Guidelines: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others involved in the relocation process.
Requirements:
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks associated with office relocation.
Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of computer hardware setup, including laptops and workstations.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate setup and configuration of office equipment.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to completing tasks within specified timelines.
Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed during the relocation process.
Safety Consciousness: Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and protocols to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Experience: Prior experience in office relocation or setup roles is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with Office Environments: Knowledge of office layouts and configurations to facilitate efficient relocation processes.
Note: This is a temporary position with an expected duration of up to 4 weeks. Candidates must be available to work full-time hours during regular business hours (Monday to Friday) for the duration of the assignment.
