About the Job
The Office Receptionist / Workplace Administrator is responsible for managing the front desk operations and ensuring a well-organized, efficient, and welcoming workplace for our San Carlos office. This role combines traditional receptionist duties with workplace coordination tasks, requiring excellent organizational skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Responsibilities:- Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and employees with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Manage the visitor sign-in process, issue visitor badges, and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings, including booking conference rooms and arranging catering services.
- Keep the front desk area and guest lounge clean and organized
- Support various other departments (health, facilities, HR) requests onsite
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
- Coordinate security access cards for employees and vendors
- Assist in organizing company events, meetings, and employee engagement activities.
- Coordinate with facilities management to ensure the office environment is well-maintained and functional.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
- Assisting with other administrative tasks as required
- 3-5 years of experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms) and MS Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proactive, resourceful, and have strong attention to detail
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent years of experience in Business
- Savvy in basic IT
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $32-$36/hr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
