NV5 is seeking an Office Engineer for Civil Transportation Projects to be based in Stanislaus County.
Responsibilities:
The Office Engineer will be responsible for managing and coordinating project documentation, including drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders, from the office, ensuring compliance with project specifications while facilitating communication between the field team and design engineers, primarily focusing on administrative and technical tasks to support the smooth execution of a construction project. Tasks include but not limited to:
- Document management: Managing the flow of documents between internal and external partners
- Project reporting: Preparing project reports for the office
- Project coordination: Helping to coordinate the office's participation in engineering and construction projects
- Engineering documentation: Processing change orders, submittals, RFIs, NCRs, transmittals, and other project documentation
- Budget monitoring: Monitoring the project budget to ensure the project is staying on track
- Shop drawings: Establishing and maintaining shop drawings, working drawings, and submittals
- Project meetings: Attending project meetings and recording meeting minutes
- Final documents: Preparing final documents
- Contractor claims: Reviewing, logging, and tracking Contractor submitted claims through the contract claims process
- Performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff.
- Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications.
- General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Viewed as competent in all areas.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma + 4 yeas relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Ability to clear a Motor Vehicle Check
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:•
- Experience in Transportation Construction on large scale projects as Administration /Office Engineer
- Experience with other transportation-related project documentation such as documentation and processing of change orders, submittals, RFIs, NCRs, transmittals
Additional Information
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. Compensation: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour

The pay range for this California position is $35.00- $55.00 per hour. This information is provided per California Senate Bill 1162. .Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
