The Inclusive Community Center, in Northampton, MA, is hiring a full-time (30 Hours per week) Office Coordinator to be a key part of our welcoming and inclusive community.
Summary of Position:
The Office Coordinator will work with their supervisor and other office staff to ensure the smooth running of the Inclusive Community Center's front office, including reception, administrative support for all program staff, managers and director, record keeping, data entry, report generation, special projects, and all other aspects of front office operations.
This is a 30+ hour per week, Monday - Friday, position. Hours will vary and the successful candidate will be flexible in order to meet the needs of the program.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
1. Minimum 18 years of age.
2. Valid MA driver's license and reliable vehicle/transportation. We are not on a bus line.
3. Thorough knowledge of office procedures and practices. Microsoft Office fluency. Knowledge of QuickBooks is helpful but not mandatory. Set up and use of computerized systems. Equivalent to high school diploma plus broad specialized training equal to two years of college.
4. Three to five years of progressive learning experience.
Skills and Abilities Required:
1. Must be able to maintain regular attendance and be flexible with hours. Must be available to work the occasional evening and Saturday.
2. Ability to speak, read and write English. Bilingual a plus.
3. Perform a wide variety of office administrative duties requiring a general knowledge of related organization policies, practices, and procedures. Use considerable judgment to work independently toward general objectives.
4. Ability to interact with inside and outside personnel and resources to provide or obtain information in a tactful way to avoid friction and obtain cooperation.
5. Ability to interact with students of all ages and abilities and their parents/guardians in a welcoming and professional manner.
6. Maintain the highest level of professionalism when working with highly confidential information.
7. Ability to work with all levels of management, as well as your own peers.
8. Ability to follow complex directions.
