Office/Bookkeeping Clerk
Vaco has partnered with a Distribution Company and they are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Clerk with a focus on Accounts Receivable collections processing. The ideal candidate will assist in managing day-to-day office operations while maintaining accurate records for accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections, and supporting the finance team. This role starts right away and is a temporary opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Management:
- Process and track customer payments, ensuring accurate data entry and updating of accounts.
- Contact customers regarding overdue invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Some A/P functions are involved
Collections Processing:
- Monitor and manage accounts with past due balances, maintaining regular communication with customers.
- Document all collection activities and maintain a detailed record of customer interactions and payments.
Administrative Support:
- Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries from customers and vendors.
- Perform general office duties such as filing, organizing documents, and preparing correspondence.
- Assist with maintaining office supplies and equipment inventory.
Data Entry & Record Keeping:
- Accurately enter customer data, payments, and relevant documentation into the financial system.
- Generate and distribute regular financial reports to management.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of office clerical experience, preferably with exposure to accounts receivable or collections.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting software.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
