Responsibilities
1. Receives, greets and directs visitors to the appropriate person or office.
2. Answers telephones, provides assistance and directs customers to the correct person or office.
3. Processes and distributes mail.
4. Creates and maintains files.
5. Schedules appointments and arranges for meetings.
6. Answers questions about the organization and associated activities.
7. Assists with word processing, data entry and internet searches.
8. Maintains office equipment; arranges for service calls as needed.
The incumbents in this position are expected to be familiar with the department’s policies and procedures. They are required to have a working knowledge of University and department organizations and procedures in order to answer and assist staff and visitors.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. One year full-time customer service experience or equivalency, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
