We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing financial records and administrative tasks, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Responsibilities
As a Bookkeeper, your main responsibilities will include:
1. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
2. Processing invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
3. Managing payroll and preparing financial reports.
4. Reconciling bank and credit card statements.
5. Coordinating with the accounting team to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
6. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning.
7. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
8. Managing and maintaining an effective filing system.
9. Answering phones, responding to inquiries, and handling correspondence.
10. Performing various administrative tasks as required, such as data entry, scheduling appointments, and maintaining office supplies.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you should have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
2. Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage.
3. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
4. Strong administrative skills, including filing, answering phones, and managing correspondence.
5. Familiarity with the construction industry is an asset.
6. The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
9. The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
