We're looking for an enthusiastic Office Assistant 2 to join our Nome Public Health Center (PHC) team. In this role, you will:- Provide customer service to clients and partners
- Manage medical records and data for the clinic
- Oversee office operations
- Handle a variety of administrative tasks that may change from day to day.
You'll also play a key role in site management and ensure accurate data entry using our Public Health Nursing program's Resource Patient Management System (RPMS).

Sharp Program Eligibility:
The successful candidate may be eligible for a $45,000 incentive award through the Alaska SHARP 3 program. If selected, the applicant will enter into a contract with the State of Alaska, agreeing to live and work in Nome for a period of three years. SHARP participants can choose quarterly student loan repayments or direct payments for the duration of the contract in addition to their base salary. Most applicants who apply are eligible.

The working environment you can expect:
Nome is a vital hub for Northwest Alaska, located on the edge of the Bering Sea. Nome has 210 miles of state-maintained roads accessible seasonally and a vast countryside with plentiful berries and wildflowers. Nome is home to musk oxen, moose, grizzly bears, and birds abound in the summer and fall. In winter, Nome is the finish of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race in March, northern lights, and much more winter fun. This position works in a dynamic office alongside three dedicated, compassionate public health nurses.
