Position Overview

The Part-Time Office Assistant will support the administrative functions of our office. This role is perfect for people who are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in gaining hands-on experience in a construction company setting. The ideal candidate will assist with various clerical tasks, providing essential support to ensure smooth office operations.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties & Functions)

• Managing and organizing office files and documents
• Data entry and updating records accurately.
• Assisting with scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars
• Preparing and distributing communications, such as memos and emails
• Supporting the team with various administrative tasks as needed
• Maintaining office supplies and ensuring a tidy workspace
• Assisting the procurement department with tracking orders, processing purchase requests, and maintaining supplier records
• Supporting the safety team by organizing safety training materials, maintaining safety records, and assisting with safety audits
• Helping to prepare reports and presentations for various departments.
• Coordinating with team members to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assisting in organizing company events and meetings
• Performing all other duties as assigned

• Adept at exercising superior judgement in dealing with critical/confidential information.
• Ability to analyze issues independently and consistently make good decisions.
• Outstanding problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

Education/Professional Experience

• Proven experience in an administrative or office assistant role
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
•  Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
