About the Job
SMV Recruiting is currently working with a well-known, family-owned manufacturing company in Syracuse, NY who is looking for an Office Administrator. As an Office Administrator you will be responsible for assisting with daily office tasks, including answering customer service calls and data entry. Our client prides themselves on their team of hard-working employees and provides them with great benefits and incentives. Office hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Responsibilities
- Answer customer service calls and respond to email inquires
- Accurately enter data for accounts receivable and invoices
- Work closely with operations and sales to prepare estimates and enter customer data
- Create worksheets in Excel and prepare reports
- Assist office management with daily clerical tasks as assigned
Requirements
- 2 years experience of customer service or office support is strongly preferred
- Intermediate use of Word and Excel
- Ability to type 40 words per minute
- Prior experience answering calls
- Professional demeanor and willingness to contribute to a positive work culture
