What You Will Do:
- Work with Store Director and Office Admin to answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls and emails. Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email. Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
- Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing.
- HR duties, including coordinating some HR matters, standing as a witness to employee feedback, retaining and filing documents and other duties, as assigned.
- Ensure that all opening and closing Accounting procedures are performed. Procedures include but are not limited to: auditing safe; reviewing reconciliations, troubleshooting, creating emails and updating Accounting sheets.
- Provide excellent cashier customer service and address needs of customers in a timely and effective manner.
- Assist cashier supervisors in controlling customer flow and backed up lines by reducing waiting time for customers.
- Follow proper procedures for cashier check out, handling of tenders, use of tares, sales of alcoholic beverages, and use of PLUs and UPCs.
- Follow all cash handling procedures: understand, meet and exceed Erewhon cashier variance policy.
- Maintain a safe work practices and ensure compliance with all applicable US regulatory rules and regulations

- Be an advocate for the company's mission and familiarize yourself with our products, promotions, and membership program to educate our customers
- Use active salesmanship to educate guests and inform them of our membership program, non-profit donation drives, or other rotating promotions.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
What You Bring:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Cashier / Administrative role / Retail industry highly preferred.
- Bilingual English / Spanish required
- Proficient in Google Suite.
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers).
- Professional and Customer service attitude.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills - able to speak Spanish.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work 40 hours.
- High school degree; additional certification in Office Management is a plus.
