We are seeking an exceptional Permanent Of Counsel Employment Litigator to join our Employment Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to showcase their expertise in employment litigation and contribute to our firm's success. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in employment law, with significant experience in responding to pleadings, mediations, drafting and arguing motions, and preparing for mediations and trial. You will also be instrumental in drafting and revising handbooks, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Of Counsel Employment Litigator, you will:
1. Manage all aspects of employment litigation including responding to pleadings, conducting discovery, drafting and arguing motions, and preparing for mediations and trial.
2. Handle mediations and negotiations with a focus on resolving disputes in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
3. Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of employment law issues, including but not limited to, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation claims.
4. Draft, revise, and implement employee handbooks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
5. Collaborate with other members of the legal team and work closely with our clients to provide practical legal advice that aligns with their business objectives.
6. Stay updated with the latest developments in employment law and proactively advise clients on potential legal issues and risks.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, with excellent academic credentials.
2. Admission to the Colorado Bar required.
3. 6-15 years of employment litigation experience, preferably as a senior associate or counsel litigator.
4. Proven track record of successfully managing and resolving a high volume of complex employment disputes.
5. Extensive experience in drafting and arguing motions, responding to pleadings, and preparing for mediations and trial.
6. Solid understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
7. Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes in a manner that is beneficial to our clients.
8. Strong drafting skills with experience in creating and revising employee handbooks, policies, and procedures.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
10. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
