We are currently seeking an experienced Of Counsel-Employment Litigation Attorney to work on a hybrid schedule in our downtown SD office. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned employment attorney with a strong background in labor law, first chair, and managing experience to provide strategic counsel and legal advice on a wide range of employment and labor law issues. As an integral member of our team, you will advise and represent our organization in complex litigation matters and employment disputes, ensuring our compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
**Schedule is 2 days remote and 3 days in the office**
**Billable requirement is 1850 with bonuses being paid for those who exceed 1900**

We are currently seeking an experienced Of Counsel-Employment Litigation Attorney to work on a hybrid schedule in our downtown SD office. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned employment attorney with a strong background in labor law, first chair, and managing experience to provide strategic counsel and legal advice on a wide range of employment and labor law issues. As an integral member of our team, you will advise and represent our organization in complex litigation matters and employment disputes, ensuring our compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead attorney in employment litigation matters, including wage and hour disputes, discrimination claims, wrongful termination, and harassment cases.
- Provide strategic counsel and legal advice to our organization on a wide range of employment and labor law issues.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Represent our organization in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
- Manage all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and trial.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement best practices for employment and labor law compliance.
- Monitor and interpret current and emerging labor and employment law trends and regulations and advise the organization accordingly.
- Develop and deliver training programs on employment law topics for our organization's management and staff.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 10+ years of experience as an employment attorney, with a focus on employment litigation and proven experience as a first chair in employment litigation cases.
- Class Action/ PAGA experience is preferred, but not required
- Admission to the CA state bar.
- Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment and labor laws and regulations.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex disputes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
