About the Job
Overview: As the Manager of IT Operations, you will hold a critical leadership role overseeing our internal IT infrastructure's design, implementation, and continuous support. This position is pivotal in integrating IT operations with business strategies, particularly focusing on expanding vendor management for our new ventures and maintaining stringent compliance standards such as SOX. Your strategic insight will guide our technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with the broader business objectives and enhancing our technological footprint.
Location: Chicago, IL – near O’Hare airport
Status: Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days remote) Must be local. No relocation available. This is NOT a remote only role.

- Strategic IT Management: Oversee all aspects of our IT infrastructure, including cloud data center operations, LAN/WAN, and security functions.
- Holistic Technology Roadmap Development: Collaborate with business and technology groups to craft a holistic view of the company's technology strategy.
- Robust Vendor Oversight: Manage outsourced data center functions and on-premise IT systems, ensuring efficient operations and strategic vendor partnerships.
- Compliance and Standards Enforcement: Maintain SOX compliance across all IT platforms and operations, consistently ensuring rigorous standards are met.
- Budget and Resource Allocation: Manage operating and capital budgets, purchasing of assets, and tracking of expenditures.
- Be able to do the job as described.
- Proven IT Operations Leadership: At least 5 years of management experience in a relevant IT operations role.
- Vendor Management Proficiency: Demonstrated ability in managing both local and international IT vendors, crucial for our expansion and daily operations.
- Expertise in Cloud and Enterprise Technologies: Strong background in AWS, Microsoft technologies, and SAP (or other similar Tier 1 ERP), SOX compliance and security experience, and capable of leading sophisticated IT projects and initiatives.
- Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Ability to align IT strategies with business goals, possessing a forward-thinking approach to technology and infrastructure management.
