Job Details
The OEM Strategic Sourcing Manager will play a critical role in planning, coordinating and executing the strategic sourcing and procurement activities related to capital projects and national agreements. This position requires strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of the capital sourcing space and OEM and national vendor landscape, project management, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to effectively source and execute capital projects and national agreements.
Responsibilities:
1. Developing and implementing procurement strategies to ensure the company's supply needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
2. Managing relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts.
3. Negotiating contracts with suppliers to achieve the best terms and conditions.
4. Conducting regular supplier audits to ensure they are adhering to our standards.
5. Implementing cost management strategies to optimize procurement expenses.
6. Identifying potential areas of procurement risk and implementing mitigation strategies.
7. Collaborating with project managers and other team members to ensure all procurement needs are met for each project.
8. Keeping abreast of market trends and shifts, potential supply disruptions, and impact on company operations.
9. Leading a team of procurement officers and oversee their performance and development.
10. Ensuring compliance with all internal and external procurement regulations and protocols.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 12+ years of experience in capital sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
2. Experience in a capital-intensive industry such as cement/building materials, manufacturing, or energy.
3. Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude.
4. Experience sourcing for and executing large capital projects.
5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
6. Experience in or ability to learn SAP (S4/HANA) and Tableau / DOMO analytics interfaces.
7. Proficient in procurement software and other related computer applications.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
10. Professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
