The OEM Engineering Manager will oversee the engineering processes for Original Equipment Manufacturer projects, ensuring the successful design, development, and implementation of machinery and equipment. This role is critical in driving operational excellence and fostering innovation within the engineering team to meet client specifications and production timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the OEM engineering team to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement engineering processes and standards for OEM projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Utilize SolidWorks and 3-D modeling software to design and analyze mechanical components and systems.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of engineering projects to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to optimize manufacturing operations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for OEM clients, addressing technical inquiries and providing expert guidance.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in OEM engineering or manufacturing management.
- Knowledge/Management of SolidWorks (or similar) and 3-D modeling tools.
- Strong knowledge of operations management and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in managing engineering teams and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project management.
