Position Description Summary: Responsible for creating and communicating profitable pricing solutions for Trans Pacific ocean freight shipments to internal and external customers. Complete RFI & RFQ's for Sales and Tender Management as part of the Global Tender Process. Support Business Development and participate in projects and exercises that support yield improvement objectives and revenue growth initiatives. Serves as a trade expert and assists with various issues pertaining to the ocean product. Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.): · Create and communicate profitable pricing solutions for Trans Pacific ocean freight shipments to internal and external customers. · Negotiate best in class buying conditions with ocean carriers. · Provide selling terms to complete RFQs for Sales and Tender teams. · Provide Comprehensive Proposals based on the current market conditions. · Participate in projects and exercises that support yield improvement objectives and revenue growth initiatives. · Utilize and maintain data integrity for both internal and external needs. · Build Relationships with internal and external parties to support Business Development. · Strategic Account Pricing. · Serves as a trade expert and assists with various ocean product initiatives. · Support Trans Pacific volume growth and targets with our core carrier portfolio. · Maintain Trans Pacific trade opportunity logbook and initiate follow-up discussions. · Develop tools for the trade team and sales field to promote ease of knowledge when working in the Trans Pacific market. · Provide excellent service and proposals within set guidelines. * Knowledge and Skills (The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel): Ocean Carrier Procurement experience * · High School Diploma * · Analytical mindset and preference for numbers desired * · Detail oriented * · Excel familiarity required * · Ocean carrier and alliances knowledge desired * · Comfort level with general ocean incoterms and terminology * · Ability to multitask * · Fine-tuned time management skills * Engage with many cultural backgrounds as this trade encompasses Asia Pacific, India and Oceania
