Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT) and Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) - Faith Homecare, South Florida
Position Overview: Faith Homecare, a leading provider of home-based healthcare services in the vibrant community of South Florida, is in search of compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to join our dedicated team. As part of Faith Homecare, you'll have the opportunity to deliver exceptional therapy services to individuals with various physical, mental, or developmental challenges, all within the familiar and comfortable setting of their own homes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, emotional, and functional abilities, considering the unique aspects of their home environment. (Occupational Therapists only)
- Collaborate closely with clients and their families to establish achievable goals and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs and circumstances.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and activities designed to enhance clients' independence in daily living tasks, improve motor skills, and address sensory processing challenges.
- Provide invaluable education and support to clients and their caregivers on utilizing adaptive techniques, assistive devices, and strategies to optimize their functioning within their home environment.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, community resources, and support networks to ensure holistic and coordinated care delivery.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of client assessments, progress notes, and intervention outcomes, adhering to regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
Qualifications:
- For Occupational Therapists (OTs): Completion of a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program, current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Florida, certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), and preferably, prior clinical experience with diverse populations, including homecare settings.
- For Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs): Completion of an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution, current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in Florida, experience in Homecare.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, coupled with a genuine commitment to ongoing professional development and the delivery of client-centered care.
- Home Care Experience is a MUST
