Now offering a $2000 sign-on bonus! Position will work with grade levels K-12th grade in public charter schools and includes flexible work arrangements! 

As an Occupational Therapist for our School-Based program, you will be an essential part of our school team by providing services to build children with the capacity to meet the diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students grades K-12 in South King County region. Becoming one of our Occupational Therapists you will be a valued member of our school based team who collaborates with our students, families, and community partners to remove barriers and build safe and healthy environments for academic success.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial assessments and reassessments for students with occupational therapy needs
• Document evaluations in a thorough and professional manner that meets field standards and Seneca's standards of excellence
• Administer and score a variety of occupation-based assessments in the school setting
• Provide occupational therapy services to students in support of their needs and treatment goals
• Work with students to develop their gross and fine motor skills, executive functioning skills, sensory processing skills, and other skills pertaining to engaging in school-based occupations
• Efficiently document daily activities using SOAP Notes
• Independently manage and plan interventions for all students on caseload, ensuring that occupational therapy minutes are met as defined by their IEPs
• Work collaboratively with other Seneca staff members including Speech and Language Pathologists, Special Education Teachers, School Psychologists, Clinicians, and Student Support Assistants
• Work collaboratively with school partners and school staff, supporting students in the special education and general education population
• Provide in-depth occupational therapy consultation for teacher, providing professional insights for OT interventions for their students
• Assist in providing in-service training in gross and fine motor skills, sensory motor regulations, visual spatial processing skills, handwriting curricula, teaching about occupational therapy in the school setting, as well as posture and movement to parents, teachers, administrators, and other professionals and paraprofessionals regarding occupational therapy
• Assist in coordinating, communicating, and seeking consultation with community agencies as appropriate

Qualifications

• Current license by the Washington Board of Occupational Therapy
• Washington Educational Staff Associate (ESA) for public schools (Can obtain after hire)
• NBCOT Certification preferred but not necessary
• Clearance of TB test, fingerprinting, and any other State/Federal requirements
• Own vehicle, valid Driver's License, and insurance
• Ability to travel to different school sites within Puget Sound region
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Experience in the school setting or pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred but not required
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 8:00am -4:00pm school hours
• One dedicated documentation/planning day per week with some flexibility in work location
• Ability to create and manage therapy schedule within school hours
• School year calendar with paid school breaks

Benefits

• Starting at $78,280- $92,280 annually, actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role 
• Salary increases each year
