As an Occupational Therapist (OT), you'll assess students and help develop their fine and gross motor skills, posture, and movement. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to empower students on their learning journey. You'll provide consultation to teachers, train parents and professionals on OT strategies, and coordinate with community agencies. This role includes travel to multiple school sites to ensure comprehensive care and support. Responsibilities:- Provide occupational therapy initial assessments and reassessments for children with occupational therapy needs
- Document evaluations in a thorough and professional manner
- Provide in-depth occupational therapy consultation for teachers, providing professional insights for early OT interventions for their students
- Provide occupational therapy services to students in support of their needs and treatment goals
- Work collaboratively with other Seneca staff members including, Speech and Language Pathologists, Special Education Teachers, School Psychologists, Clinicians, and Student Support Assistants
- Assist in providing in-service training in gross and fine motor skills, sensory motor regulations, as well as posture and movement to parents, teachers, administrators and other professionals
- Assist in coordinating, communicating and seeking consultation with community agencies as appropriate
REQUIRED
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current license by the California Board of Occupational Therapy
- Proof of liability insurance
- Experience with language techniques, sensory motor integration, and physical restoration
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy
- TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
- Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination
PREFERRED
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to the growth and development of an engaged program culture
- Experience working with youth in a mental health or education setting
- Full or part time available
- School based schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 8 AM- 4:30 PM
- 5 weeks of flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and 33 paid school break days
- Starting at $85,402 - $99,402 per year,
- Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam
