Join the Virtus Healthcare Staffing Team! We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our partner, a healthcare facility in Chambersburg, PA.

Job Description:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients develop, recover, or maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. You will assess patients' abilities, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to help them achieve their goals for independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment & Treatment Planning:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' functional limitations, identify areas of need, and establish treatment goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address patient-specific needs and functional limitations.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADL) training, sensory integration techniques, and assistive technology.
• Clinical Skills:
  • Demonstrate strong clinical skills in areas such as fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive function.
  • Utilize therapeutic modalities such as splinting, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications as needed.
• Collaboration & Communication:
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans, progress, and home exercise programs.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications:

• OT license for the state of PA
• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule:

• Part-time: 30 hours per week
• Monday through Friday
• No weekend rotation
