About the Job
Our client, is a privately owned, state supported school for Deaf students from birth through 8th grade located in the Prospect Heights section of Brooklyn is seeking an Occupational Therapist
Type: Contract
Schedule: 3 days a week with hours of 8:00AM- 4:00PM (Hybrid)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and integrate IEP goals into lessons. Develop and implement intervention strategies.
Evaluate students using appropriate tests, skilled observation, and supplemental information received from other sources.
Maintain records in compliance with regulatory and school policy.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
New York State Certified Occupational Therapist.
Applicant must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Applicant must have excellent organizational skills and pay meticulous attention to details.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Minimum of Advanced SLPI Rating.
PERSONAL QUALITIES
Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities and competing demands
Demonstrated ability to work in a calm and respectful manner
Maintain a positive, encouraging attitude to motivate others.
Candidate must enjoy working with special needs children
