Your Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be a cornerstone in the development of young learners, creating tailored therapeutic plans that inspire growth and achievement. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children, collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure each child reaches their full potential.

What You’ll Do

• Design Individualized Interventions

  Develop and implement occupational therapy plans that address the unique developmental needs of each child, focusing on fostering independence and functional skills.

  
  

• Collaborate with a Multidisciplinary Team

  Work closely with educators, families, and other professionals to ensure therapy seamlessly integrates into each child’s learning experience.

  
  

• Document Progress

  Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, ensuring compliance with Volunteers of America policies and third-party payer requirements.

  
  

• Supervise and Mentor

  Provide guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) and students, nurturing the next generation of therapy professionals.

  
  

• Maintain a Professional Standard

  Uphold the Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, ensuring the highest level of care and integrity.

  
  

• Contribute to a Positive Environment

  Maintain and organize therapy spaces and equipment to support effective intervention.

  
  

What You Bring

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
• New York State License and NBCOT Certification
• Experience or training in pediatric occupational therapy
• A collaborative spirit and passion for empowering young learners
