You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring the delivery of top-quality patient care, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Perinatal Nurse.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Obstetrics Unit, ensuring the delivery of top-quality patient care.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the unit, including staffing, scheduling, and patient flow.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, seeking ways to enhance patient care and staff performance.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that comply with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient care.
- Provide education and training to staff, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest obstetrics practices and procedures.
- Participate in budget development and management, ensuring the efficient use of resources.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement strategies to improve them.
- Handle patient complaints and concerns, ensuring they are addressed promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Must have a current and valid RN license.
- Must have BLS, NRP, and preferably RNC-OB
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Perinatal/OB/LDRP Nurse.
- Advanced knowledge of obstetrics practices and procedures.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and make critical decisions.
- Must be certified or willing to become certified in: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), BLS, STABLE, and (AWHONN FHM or NCC C-EFM)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven experience in budget development and management.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and quality patient care.
- Ability to handle patient complaints and concerns professionally.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
