GENERAL FUNCTION
The Communications Manager is a part of the Operations team who works in partnership with the broader team to effectively develop and execute communication strategies that support key brand and Retail priorities. Develops content and leverages appropriate channel strategies to support a culture of engagement with our home office and field associates.
The Communications Manager partners with business leaders to develop communications that support transformation strategies. Develops strong peer-to-peer relationships, networks to remain connected to functional stakeholders and counsels to inform communication decisions in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and dynamic organization.
The Communications Manager effectively prioritizes and leads concurrent work streams and prioritizes accountability to deliver the most significant business return. Enrolls the broader team and Shared Service resources where necessary and makes sure plans align to the broader Luxottica and Oakley strategies.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and executes communication plans to support key business initiatives.
- Counsels cross functional business partners to ensure program plans, messages and project plan strategies are brand right.
- Develops and executes run-the-business and operational communications to enable business results; prioritizes communications to raise message effectiveness.
- Masters brand tone of voice; applies to all communications.
- Finds effective ways to benchmark best practices, challenges processes and recommends new approaches where appropriate.
- Partners with Global Corporate Communications and sister brands to contextualize global programs/messages when relevant..
- Posts/deploys relevant communications across multiple channels, partnering with broader communications team to ensure all strategies effectively reach field leaders and associates.
- Develops communications in a variety of formats and voices to support deployment of key business initiatives across relevant/numerous brand channels (including One Luxottica, e-mail communication, videos, podcasts, social media and physical store locations).
- Manages program objectives, timelines and effective processes to deliver meaningful communication plans.
- Manages internal and external partners on relevant projects.
- Supports the 360 execution of conferences and in-person events, from conceptulization, logistics planning, and content development.
- Focuses on continuous improvement of internal communications.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Experience with PowerPoint
- Able to managing multiple projects/prioritization
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Strong project management skills; proven ability to plan, develop & deliver content across channels
- Ability to simplify complex messages into easily understood, engaging content
- Proven ability to build and execute strategies effectively and efficiently; focus on simplicity
- Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and programs
- Able to manages multiple projects and high volume of work
- Credible communicator with ability to develop peer relationships
- Excellent presentation skills
- Works well under pressure and can adapt workload quickly
- Ability to deliver high-quality results
- Some travel (<10 percent)

Pay Range: 105,760.80 - 152,692.80
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
