Responsibilities:In collaboration with NYCAMH leadership, principal investigators, coordinators, NIOSH and other NIOSH centers and stakeholders, develops and implements marketing plans, creates and distributes advertising materials and executes promotional campaigns for all NYCAMH programs within brand guidelines. These efforts will include management of promotional efforts across multiple platforms including websites, social media, print media, email marketing, direct mail efforts and promotional materials for all NYCAMH entities, which includes the New York Center for Agricultural Medicine and Health (NYCAMH), the Northeast Center for Occupational Health and Safety in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (Northeast Center), and Bassett HealthWorks. Develops a timeline of events and collaborates with NYCAMH leadership to evaluate opportunities that most efficiently utilize resources to impact the center’s mission. Meets monthly with leadership team to provide details regarding numbers reached, status of promotional activities, marketing budget updates and to identify and prioritize programs and services for monthly promotion to ensure effective and timely marketing. Responsible for assisting with market research and development of ideas for increased growth of NYCAMH branding and awareness. Attends pertinent conferences and workshops to improve dissemination and promotion strategies, and shares information with staff upon return. Also assists with identifying external creative/promotions talent, writing up requests for bids and vetting external consultants. Acts as the primary liaison for contracting creative agencies.
- In conjunction with the Administrative Team and study leadership develops marketing strategies for multiple programs and NYCAMH overall
- Supports NYCAMH by development of marketing strategies
- Develops and implements marketing plans and performs project management
- Coordinates with staff (both internal and external) to review existing promotional materials, including pamphlets and fact sheets to ensure that they are current
- Coordinates with HealthWorks Supervisors & Coordinators on promotion of services to potential clients
- Evaluates and recommends marketing opportunities to ensure that marketing programs stay within budget
- With the oversight of NYCAMH leadership develops and recommends marketing budgets for NYCAMH programs
- Ensures the consistency of all NYCAMH (including Northeast Center and Bassett HealthWorks) branding within the Northeast and nationally and ensures that it supports branding guidelines
- Conducts evaluations of marketing and promotional activities and incorporates findings in marketing strategy revisions
- Ensures that funded partners are crediting the center for research and activities taking place through the Center
- In general, works to increase the center’s visibility in the research community, with industry partners and with ag, forestry and fishing populations
- Expand distribution lists for promotions by at least 5 new outlets annually
- Regular interaction with Bassett communications to increase reach of NYCAMH promotion
- Initiates frequent reporting to Center Director leadership team on promotional activities/concepts
- Regularly reports on marketing activities. Prepares reports as needed
- Develops creative solutions aligned with Center goals to drive results
- Graphic design and development
- Develops advertising and marketing materials for both internal and external staff and research partners
- Identifies and works with Media outlets to disseminate earned and paid marketing materials and reports back to leadership team quarterly to allow for tracking of marketing efforts
- Responsible for upgrading, coordinating, developing and disseminating NYCAMH quarterly newsletters
- Develops, edits, and places advertisements for each NYCAMH/NEC/HealthWorks project
- Development of Northeast Center products/outputs to meet grant objectives
- Development of talking points and website development
- Works with the center and study leadership to identify overall goals for website development
- Develops conceptual materials to support website design
- Works with contracted website developers to implement and maintain multiple NYCAMH websites
- Responsible for tracking and reporting website usage statistics to NYCAMH and study leadership
- Proactively works with staff (both internal and external) to ensure that upcoming events are appropriately highlighted
- Working with staff (both internal and external), ensures that all areas of website are kept up to date
- Electronic media
- Develops and supports NYCAMH marketing via social media including, but not limited to, Facebook & YouTube
- Tracks and reports Social Media activity to NYCAMH leadership on a quarterly basis
- Develops digital video instructional and promotional materials for video outlets, including but not limited to the NIOSH YouTube Channel, the center’s various websites website and Facebook pages
- Explores new and innovative ways of reaching AFF communities, researchers and partners and incorporates these into ongoing marketing/promotional plans
- Creation of Wikipedia page and exploration of additional social media opportunities
- Build/maintain a photography library
- Formal Written responsibilities

- Quarterly Northeast Center email newsletter blasts to partners
- Quarterly NYCAMH newsletter creation and dissemination

- Performs similar or related duties as requested or directed
- Supports occupational health activities including firefighter screenings, selected day clinics and mobile clinics
- Database management for marketing. Works with colleagues to maintain appropriate lists of contacts to be used in direct marketing efforts

Education:
- 4 year/Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare or in a field related to the job required
- Experience may be considered in lieu of education
Experience:
- 3 years minimum of experience developing marketing/promotional materials, required
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, preferred
- Experience working with the Farm Community, preferred
Licensure/Certifications:

Physical Requirements:
