AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS required, must become an instructor as well within 6 months of hire
Registered Nurse to leadEducation Department. The Education Manager will design, implement, and evaluate educational programs, in-services, and orientation for designated nursing and non-nursing personnel. The incumbent will actively pursue new developments in education and training methodology and participate in activities which contribute to professional growth and development. Collaborates with administrative and clinical personnel in identifying the learning needs of individuals and groups. Promotes a climate for the employee that encourages learning and self motivation through the application of principles of adult learning. Functions as resource to members of the hospital community. Ability to serve as a resource person, consultant to nursing, medical staff, students and ancillary staff members.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing Preferred
Required License:
Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required (or compact state)
Required Certification:
American Heart Association BLS is required
AHA BLS instructor within 6 months of hire
AHA ACLS and PALS instructor within 6 months of hire
