Profile Summary:
The Nursing Coordinator is responsible for the creating and maintaining clinician schedules according to authorizations, patient needs, and clinician's availability. The Scheduler serves as the point of contact for all interactions with clinical team members, administrative associates, referral sources, and patients. Partners with clinical leadership to direct the coordination of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creates and maintains patient schedules according to care plans and staff availability.
- Maintains staffing schedule to ensure coverage for sick leave, vacation, and long-term leave.
- Serves as a liaison between Intake team and Clinical team.
- Carefully review physician orders and authorizations to ensure that the appropriate of care is scheduled.
- Responsible for scheduling the appropriate skilled clinician to patient cases.
- Contacts care providers, patients, and staff with day to day changes.
- Communicates routinely with contract agencies to maintain staffing and a long lasting relationship.
- Serves as a point of contact for changes in patient status, in-service requirements, and unsatisfactory clinician performance.
- Overseen by the Director of Patient Care Services to ensure all new cases are properly staffed.
- Maintains staff and patient census productively reports.
- Communicates patient complaints to appropriate clinician; case manager and/or clinical leadership.
- Performs general office duties including but not limited to data entry, copying, faxing, scanning, sorting/distributing mail, providing reception and telephone service.
Plus – may perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified medical assistant program preferred.
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting, preferably in telehealth or patient support roles.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and software

Compensation:
- DOE: $20-$26
Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
