The Nursing Assistant Critical Care will report directly to the Charge Nurse or Nurse Manager, with collaborative oversight from the Director of Nursing. This role works closely with Registered Nurses (RNs) and other healthcare professionals to provide critical support in the PCU/ICU, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
The Progressive Care/Intensive Care unit is a fast-paced and dynamic environment dedicated to providing intensive care to patients with serious health conditions. Our team is composed of highly skilled professionals who work together to deliver specialized care, focusing on patient recovery and comfort.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of RNs, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, and supporting patient mobility.
- Assist in the implementation of individualized care plans and participate in patient rounds.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
- Support the PCU/ICU team in preparing patients for procedures and ensuring a safe and clean environment.
- Participate in emergency response situations and assist with critical patient needs as required.
- Foster a compassionate and supportive atmosphere for patients and their families.
