The Lakeview Center Opiate Treatment Program is centered on helping people learn the skills to overcome addiction to opium-derived drugs. Cravings are perhaps the biggest hurdle, but Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)can be the key to recovery. MAT is an evidence-based practice composed of pharmacological interventions, counseling and support.
Overview:
Primary duty is to provide skilled nursing services to mental health, substance abuse, or developmentally disabled clients, under the direction of a registered nurse APRN, or medical doctor. Supervisory function includes leading and supervising assigned staff, and ensuring staff provide the highest quality treatment and support services to clients. Also, providing a variety of related services to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. Services include but are not limited to, assessment, treatment planning, direct service provision, person centered services using specialized knowledge and skills and management of client risk and safety.
Role Requirements:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Must have a valid license as a licensed practical nurse or registered nurse in Florida.
- Must be certified in CPR.
- Must be able to effectively perform client/patient behavior management techniques (CPI) with appropriate training.
- Must have four (4) years of experience as a licensed practical nurse and/or Registered Nurse.
- Must have one (1) year of experience with management.
- Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families.
- Must be eligible to participate in state or federally funded programs such as Medicaid.
- Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
