Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Eastern Aleutian Islands, Alaska - CS Arc Health

Arc Health is offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for dedicated Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide essential healthcare services in remote Alaskan villages. Collaborating with a supportive team of healthcare providers, Community Health Aides, and first responders, you'll be instrumental in delivering comprehensive care to communities ranging from 40 to 800 residents.

• Cold Bay 
• False Pass 

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive healthcare: Deliver preventative, primary, and emergency care services to diverse patients.
• Engage the community: Foster community involvement and ensure continuity of care.
• Solve healthcare challenges: Use innovative problem-solving skills to address unique rural healthcare issues.
• Demonstrate resilience: Show patience, determination, and adaptability in rural healthcare settings.

Requirements:

• Solo staff coverage: Must be comfortable working independently.
• NP/PA education and certification: Hold a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant degree and certification.
• Active Alaska NP/PA License: Possess an unrestricted Alaska Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
• 5 years experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years in Primary Care and/or Emergency Care.
• ACLS certification: Maintain current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
• Prefer tribal or rural healthcare experience: Preferred experience in tribal health or rural healthcare settings.
• Cross-cultural rural experience preferred: Preference is given to those experienced in cross-cultural rural environments.

Compensation:

• $5600 per week
• Full pay for travel days inbound and outbound for assignments
• Housing and travel expenses paid
• Malpractice paid
