About the Job

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position in the Hematology/Oncology Specialty Unit is open to Acute Care Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants. This full-time role involves 14-16 PM shifts per month, including weekends and holidays. Candidates should have prior Hematology/Oncology experience and knowledge of chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

Position Summary:

Provide medical care under the direction of a collaborating physician.

Coordinate patient care from admission to discharge.

Perform comprehensive assessments and assist with procedures.

Requirements:

Master's degree in Nursing or accredited PA program.

Current APN or PA certification in Alabama.

BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be needed.

Skills include strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
