About the Job
- POSITION SUMMARY
- Is currently licensed by the North Dakota Board of Nursing/Advance Practice Standards as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Is responsible for the primary care delivery of family nurse practice to the patients receiving services under the Trinity Mental Health/Addiction Treatment Services umbrella. Is a primary care provider for all age groups with common, acute, and emergent health problems. Is directly involved in delivery of health promotion activities, illness prevention, illness care, patient education, and counseling. Works directly with the psychiatrists and other medical health providers in physical health assessment and in determining medication needs, educating on benefits and side effects, and in answering questions related to the delivery of care. Provides physical health assessments for patients receiving addiction treatment services and for the Riverside Center for individuals with substance abuse. Provides health education for patients as requested. Works in the hospital, outlying clinics, residential treatment center, and nursing home in the delivery of quality health care and health-related care. On call as needed. Work hours can vary based on PT census.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
- Currently licensed by the North Dakota Board of Nursing/Advance Practice Standards as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Educational Requirements
- Masters of Science in Nursing.
- Experience Requirements
- As deemed by Management.
- Special Skills or Training Requirements
- As determined by Department Manager or needs of clinic.
