The Med-Peds Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide high-quality, patient-focused care to individuals across the lifespan. This role involves managing acute and chronic conditions, performing preventive care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both pediatrics and internal medicine, with excellent communication and clinical skills.
The Med-Peds Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide high-quality, patient-focused care to individuals across the lifespan. This role involves managing acute and chronic conditions, performing preventive care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both pediatrics and internal medicine, with excellent communication and clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical exams and obtain detailed patient histories for pediatric and adult patients.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, including creating and implementing treatment plans.
- Provide preventive care, including immunizations, screenings, and wellness counseling for patients of all ages.
- Educate patients and families on health management, lifestyle changes, and disease prevention.
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, therapists, and social workers.
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work, imaging, and EKGs, and use findings to guide patient care.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a focus on Med-Peds or Family Medicine.
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
- National certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) and/or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
- Strong clinical skills in managing both pediatric and adult populations.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
