About the Opportunity:
As a Nurse Manager, you will play a crucial role in implementing strategies and activities designed to achieve uncompromising quality, exceptional patient safety, and an outstanding patient/resident/family experience. You will foster staff development, empowerment, and collegial relationships, promoting best practices in nursing care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Create an environment that fosters staff development, empowerment, and best practices in nursing care.
- Quality Assurance: Implement strategies and activities designed to support high-quality, safe patient care.
- Resource Management: Allocate resources to promote efficient, effective, and compassionate nursing care.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Ensure coordination of care across department lines through systems promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and communication.
- Recruitment and Retention: Participate in the recruitment, selection, and retention of personnel. Ensure appropriate orientation, education, credentialing, and continuing professional development for all team members.
- Compliance: Maintain familiarity with DOH requirements and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Registered Professional Nurse Program.
- License/Certifications: Current NYS License to practice as a Professional Registered Nurse.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Nursing Experience or 2 years of LTC experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or related field, or a Master's in Nursing or related field.
- Experience: Previous management/leadership experience, particularly in a LTC setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Meditech.

- Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication with staff, patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
- Management Skills: Knowledge of management systems and processes, ability to lead others towards organizational objectives.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to assess departmental needs, develop and implement interventions, and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and facilitate teamwork.
- Computer Literacy: Required with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.

- Healing Environment Principles: Model and lead by professional behavior, effective communication, and maintaining a safe and respectful care environment.
Population Specific Requirements:
- Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate the ability to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients/residents, understanding the principles of growth and development across the lifespan.
Exposure Control Classification:
- Occupational Exposure: Reasonably anticipated exposure to bloodborne pathogens, requiring tasks involving potential contact with blood, body fluids, and tissue.
