Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director, the manager is responsible for the daily management of the practice. This includes, but is not limited to operational, financial, clinical, performance improvement, program development, and customer relations and patient care outcomes. The manager is the primary resource person for staff. Responsibilities also include collaboration with other departments of the Hospital to assure development, promotion and maintenance of quality programs and services.
System manager covering both the Gilford and Concord Employee Health sites.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited college. Master's degree in nursing preferred or commensurate education and experience.
Certification, Registration & Licensure
Licensure required: Licensed to practice nursing in the state of New Hampshire.
Certification required: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by the American Heart Association.
Certification in department specific specialty strongly preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in department specific nursing. Previous supervisory/leadership experience desired.
Responsibilities
Manages occupational and employee health services for the hospital system including regular onsite presence at all campuses.
Establishes positive working relationships with providers and acts as a conduit for departmental and organizational communication among staff and others.
Responsible for customer relations and customer service initiatives including marketing and growth of external occupational health clients.
Manages departmental core processes, participates and supports departmental and organizational change.
Ensures compliance with State, Local, Federal regulatory requirements. Meets all departmental, professional and technical requirements.
Participates in establishing and monitoring annual department budget, accountable for development of action plans related to financial performance.
Analyze financial performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Meet with department leadership to determine opportunities for improvement and associated action plans.
Understand key performance indicators and ensure targeted benchmarks are achieved in relation to Provider Dashboards, Revenue cycle Metrics, etc.
Monitors, evaluates and improves quality of care and services provided.
Recruits, retains and develops staff and manages performance.
Takes responsibility for individual performance goals.
Works independently and within a team on special, nonrecurring and ongoing projects. Coordinates multiple aspects of projects, events, and other complex activities.
Management of cross-functional committee for employee injury data gathering and training initiatives to promote zero harm culture.
Understands and manages drug and alcohol testing program. Liaison between Medical Review Officer (MRO) and internal/external client Designated Employer Representative’s (DER). Manages internal reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing in collaboration with HR.
Understands and ensures compliance with Federal DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA rules. Stays current with updates/advancements in the requirements of these organizations.
Oversees employee health screening process and management/tracking of data including but not limited to annual vaccine requirements and fit testing at all locations.
Oversees workers’ compensation injury management program for Concord Hospital System employees and external clients.
Oversees occupational health medical surveillance program and client billing.
