Nurse Director - Med Surg at Central Peninsula Hospital

This position is eligible for $25,000 relocation assistance, great benefits, and a CRITICAL POSITION BONUS equal to $10,000! 

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Nurse Director plans, directs, supervises, and participates in activities of the Med Surg department to ensure that the department provides quality patient care.  The Nurse Director integrates and promotes unit activities with other hospital departments, community health care professionals and the public; and collaborates with the Nursing Administration Team to provide principled leadership by defining and interpreting goals for the nursing department and integrating nursing's role with the overall mission of the hospital.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing 


• 3 years recent acute care hospital experience 


• State of Alaska Registered Nurse Licensure


• BLSP & ACLS from the American Heart Association


• PALS within 6 months of hire


• Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing knowledge and skills
