We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Numerical Modeling Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in performing advanced numerical modeling and finite element analysis for a diverse range of geotechnical engineering projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex and challenging projects, driving innovation and contributing to the advancement of the engineering industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop complex numerical models for geotechnical engineering projects, using advanced finite element and finite difference methods.
2. Utilize FEM software, such as Plaxis, to conduct comprehensive analyses and simulations.
3. Define and implement appropriate boundary conditions for each modeling scenario.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions to complex geotechnical engineering problems.
5. Review and interpret geotechnical data, ensuring all models are accurate and reliable.
6. Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
7. Prepare and present detailed reports on modeling results, including recommendations for design improvements and optimizations.
8. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in numerical modeling and finite element analysis.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in numerical modeling and finite element analysis in the geotechnical engineering field.
3. Proficiency in FEM software, such as Plaxis, and a solid understanding of boundary conditions.
4. Strong knowledge of finite element and finite difference methods.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
6. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
7. Proven ability to work effectively in a team, as well as independently.
8. Commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in geotechnical engineering and numerical modeling.
9. Professional Engineering (PE) license, or the ability to obtain one, is a plus.
